Mag Woods in May Events – Update

Rain or shine, May is still a great month to get to know your Mag Woods neighbors. Don’t forget about these upcoming events:

Saturday, May 11 – First Annual Run-At-Your-Own-Risk Unofficial Mag Woods 5K Run/Walk

How about some fresh air and sunshine? Join your neighbors in this first-ever fun run that will begin and end at the Magnolia Woods Pool. No registration required and it’s FREE! Strollers, dogs and families are welcome. Come out and cheer on your neighbors! If you live on Rodney (between Chandler and Boone) or Magnolia Woods (between Menlo and the pool), racers will pass your house between 8:00 – 9:00 AM.

Volunteers are still needed! Meet us at the pool at 7:15 AM for some fun!

Saturday, May 18 – EBR Household Hazardous Materials 

This City of Baton Rouge, Parish of East Baton Rouge-sponsored event is a great way to properly dispose of household hazardous materials, such as paint, used oil, bug sprays, etc. A list of accepted materials is available at https://www.brla.gov/893/Household-Hazardous-Materials. Volunteers are available to help bring materials to Memorial Stadium. Bring items to the Magnolia Woods Pool parking lot between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM on Saturday, May 18 to give to a volunteer.
