Get to know your neighbors in May! The following events are available to all Magnolia Woods neighbors.

Saturday, May 4 – Magnolia Woods Annual Garage Sale

Start your spring cleaning today! This annual event is a great way to meet your neighbors and maybe find a treasure (or two). The association will advertise the sale in the Advocate, on Nextdoor, and online (Craig’s List, etc.) as a service to Magnolia Woods residents.  Hang balloons or ribbons on your mail box so drivers know you’re open for business.  Set out a few lounge chairs and wait for the shoppers to drift on by.

If you don’t want to have a sale of your own, go support your neighbor’s! Several community organizations will come and take away your leftovers at the end of your sale. Happy Hunting!

Saturday, May 11 – First Annual Run-At-Your-Own-Risk Unofficial Mag Woods 5K Run/Walk

How about some fresh air and sunshine? Join your neighbors in this first-ever fun run that will begin and end at the Magnolia Woods Pool. No registration required and it’s FREE! Saturday, May 18 – EBR Household Hazardous Materials 

This City of Baton Rouge, Parish of East Baton Rouge-sponsored event is a great way to properly dispose of household hazardous materials, such as paint, used oil, bug sprays, etc. A list of accepted materials is available at https://www.brla.gov/893/Household-Hazardous-Materials. Volunteers are available to help bring materials to Memorial Stadium. Bring items to the Magnolia Woods Pool parking lot between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM on Saturday, May 18 to give to a volunteer.
